Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
College is a season of exploration and discovery. Students experiment with new friends, where to eat, how to study, whom to date, how late to stay out, what major to choose, what student organizations to get involved with, and where or if they want to go to church. There is no feeling like that of absolute freedom. This is the gift of this season of life.
One of the easiest ways to recognize this is on the calendar. The average university student studies 11-14 semesters (fall, spring, and summer) during their collegiate career. There are only a few professions which allow you to have summers off or give you the flexibility that college does. When you combine this reality with that of absolute freedom and a passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ the possibilities are limitless.
